Our first school fieldtrip

My FAVORITE thing about homeschooling my kids is the amazing things I get to experience with them that we would not ordinarily get to do.
We had a great time on our first field trip of the school year. We went to two beautiful wetlands in San Diego. The kids learned this week what the wetlands do for our environment and what animals live there. We even made a wetland at home to see how it functions.
Andrew had a great time looking for birds and identifying them.....He alway's finds a "grandma" wherever we go....this lady was so sweet to show him a bird and tell him how to see it better in the binoculars!!!

It was so peaceful and beautiful....

We had amazing tour guides at both sites that were VERY knowledgable on what it was we were seeing and describing the animals and plants!!

The kids all had a great time!!!

This was the second site....it looked so different from the other wetland...the reeds were so dense and tall...it was a little creepy thinking what was in there and looking at you!!!
